Working time models allow you to set target hours for employees and automatically track overtime. These models can be applied to multiple employees at once.
Permissions: Only admins, time managers, or user managers can view and modify time models. The Time Models menu is visible only to these users.
A time model must have an Effective From date. This date is used for calculating overtime. The optional Effective To date specifies when the model ends. Be careful not to have overlapping time models, as this can trigger warnings.
If the employee only has one time model, you can accept the default Effective From date and leave the Effective To date empty.
Multiple time models can be assigned to an employee consecutively. In this case, the Effective To date must be provided to avoid any gaps or overlaps in the schedule.
The Effective Now label shows which model is currently active for the employee. The timesheet will display both the actual hours worked, the target hours, and any overtime.
In the monthly timesheet view, you can transfer the remaining balance of hours from the previous month. To add the carryover, simply click on Add Carryover in the totals section at the bottom of the timesheet. The system will automatically suggest the appropriate balance from the previous month.
To make sure you don't forget to transfer hours, a reminder will pop up when you start entering time in the new month. You can opt to disable this reminder by checking the “Do not show again” box.
